the sun-drenched shores of the US Virgin Islands, the untamed wilderness of Alaska, and the rolling vineyards of Northern California.

It was among the vines that she first encountered the concept of terroir — the poetic notion that a place, its climate, and its soil could be distilled into something as ephemeral yet profound as a glass of wine.

Inspired to translate this sense of somewhereness into something even more tangible, she turned to her family’s estate-grown pecans, a crop deeply rooted in the land she loves.
